“The hydroponics tower has been an extremely valuable tool for developing the scientific concept and process with our moderate/severe special education population. It teaches our students responsibility and a sense of self-confidence, and it highlights the importance of taking care of the environment.
Our students check the hydroponic tower daily and are excited to see the fast growth. They feel very proud of their hard work and are always looking forward to the next lesson on plants. Working with BHCF has been a positive experience for both staff and students.”

“The City Greens Community Farm partnership with Beverly Hills High School has been beneficial in so many ways.
I teach AP Biology and Executive Director Jen Levy has partnered with my students to allow them to take leadership roles on campus in maintaining the Hydroponic Towers.
Jen Levy lectures on the science behind the towers as well as the economic, geographic, cultural, and environmental impact of hydroponic towers. She teaches the students at a University Level that is engaging and motivating. The result of this partnership is a thriving club on campus and students that monitor and maintain the towers.
I regularly have many former students come into my class to see the growth on the towers. Often other students join them. The common question I hear is, “Can my teacher get a tower also?"
This partnership with City Greens Community Farm has only just begun. The possibilities for increased student participation, donations, culinary connection are endless.”

“City Greens is a fantastic local source for fresh, high-quality vegetables! Their produce is consistently vibrant, crisp, and full of flavor, making healthy eating so much easier. I appreciate their commitment to sustainable farming practices, which not only supports the community but also ensures we’re getting vegetables free from harmful chemicals. Whether you're shopping at their farm stand or picking up at local markets, the variety and quality are outstanding. City Greens is a true gem for anyone looking to eat clean and support local agriculture and doesn’t have to break the bank!”

“Having a hydroponics tower in our classroom has been an incredible experience. Each student has come to realize the importance of food sustainability, the need to reduce waste and protect our environment.
The excitement we share each day the students observe the rapid growth and changes in our plants - this real-time hands on experience has become the focal point of our environmental studies.
Ms. Levy’s knowledge, energy and positive presence is something we all look forward to.”
